Resources for College Libraries (RCL):
Resources for College Libraries is a partnership between ACRL and Bowker, taking advantage of the editorial expertise of ACRL and the bibliographic expertise of Bowker.
RCL provides a fundamental, retrospective bibliography of recommended titles in all disciplines for undergraduate libraries that includes recommendations for a variety of electronic resources like web sites, databases & e-books. The editorial team is comprised of subject editors, bibliographers, librarians and subject specialists.
The primary selection criteria for RCL is the undergraduate curriculum. RCL provides a list of titles deemed essential for teaching a given subject at the undergraduate level. The database will be continuously revised to remain current with changes in teaching and scholarship, and to avoid obsolescence. RCLweb also includes a link to the Choice reviews for recommended titles.
